Brass Cleaner

Hi Everyone,

Well it's coming up on prep season for us esquimos up here in the north!!!! :-) The boat is back in the garage since last weekend...

...now time to get it looking it's best before taking it out to the lake...still a month and a half ....

i would like to know what are you all using to clean/polish the brass on your boats...the rudder, prop. fins, etc....i have tried several different cleaners that all say brass cleaner and polish, but i can never get the parts nice and shinny!!!

yeah i know it's in the water and once it's in nobody sees that, but i have to get to the lake and i own a Nautique and i just want it to look GOOD getting there...Lol,Lol..

anywhoot...please share your secrets.

Try Brasso. Used in in military school and US Navy. It takes some effort but produces a great finish and shine.

i have that one..and it doe not seem to bring it back to like WOW look...
do you use it with a buffer?steel wool, steel brush on a drill??

probably need to have the speed of a buffer or one of those Mother's polishing balls...be careful to not throw anything out of balance with the blades.

It takes a lot of polishing with Brasso, but in the Navy we were at sea most of the time. Never used any mechanical device fort polishing.
