    Sante warning light

Hey guys, while I'm looking for advice..
in my 02 San start up keypad there is a red light. It says that if light remains on over 1200 rpm then damage could occur.
does any one have a list of faults that could contribute to that light staying on?
my oil is topped up and fresh and pressure is good. New impeller and engine temp is good. Trans fluid is topped up and fresh. All sounds to be running right?
not sure what else would cause a problem??
If any one has a check list it would be a huge help!
    thanks
    Dan

It's your Vdrive low oil pressure light. The Vdrive has its own oil supply and mechanical internal oil pump which only makes adequate pressure about 1200 rpm so if it stays on above 1200 rpm it means it's reading a low oil pressure condition in the Vdrive itself. Check the Vdrive oil level. If low fill it up and check for leaks, it's common for the base plate gasket to fail over time and slowly leak all the oil out the bottom of the Vdrive. If full and oil looks clean then the oil pump may be going bad or more likely IMO the oil pressure sensor or its wiring to your dash could be bad. If oil looks milky then you have water intrusion and could be a bigger issue but never the less repairable likely.
