303 Fabric Guard to waterproof boat cover, how to best apply

I have used this and works really well. Would you all agree?

I have not figured out a good way to spray this on. I am reluctant to spray it on the boat cover when the cover is on the boat. I am afraid of overspray hitting the gel coat of the boat or other parts of the boat and possibly ruining these items. I usually take it off and spread it on the ground, which I hate because I do not want dirt to get on the bottom side of the boat cover. The boat cover is so awkward to handle for spraying it.

Do any of you have a great system for spraying on the 303 Fabric Guard on the boat cover?

I've always heard of people using the pump sprayers you would spray bugs with. It helps giving you a nice even coat.

I did ours on boat with a bug sprayer. Worked fine except it doesn't seem last long. Someone posted after I asked that you should do light coats and not put on very heavy.

I have either draped it over my Yukon Xl and applied it or hung it from the rafters where I store my boat. I just used the hand sprayer it comes with as not to waste it. Tired hands in the end.

I use a pressure pump as well, I pressure wash the drive pad down and keep the kids off of it until it dries and then I spread my cover on the pad and spray a couple of coats of 303 on it, letting each coat dry in between, been pretty happy with the results

with the cover cleaned and dry, lay it out upside down and use a clean pump up garden sprayer to coat the cover. Wet to just about pooling and let dry. Any pooling, spread with a clean brush.

Just spread it out on some chairs on grass, so then it's off the ground and if it were to touch it's clean. I would not recommend spraying it on the boat, the 303 is very harsh
