    2006 210 fuel in oil

Last time out I was having some sort of hesitation issue. Started a thread 2 days ago and thought it was probably my transmission slipping. So I've been doing all my maintenance. Fuel filter, spark plugs, cap and rotor, trans fluid, v drive oil. Today I get to the engine oil and i pump like 6 or 7 quarts out. Oil is super black and thin and smells like fuel. what could cause this?

fuel injector stuck open? Maybe why i was getting a hesitation off idle, but seemed to run good on the top end? but like 2 quarts of fuel seems like an awful lot

yep. stuck fuel injector. pull them all and bench test. or replace them all.
careful running until resolved or you'll be rebuilding the entire engine. fuel (well gasoline) doesn't lubricate like oil!

well the port side came out pretty easy. More crap in the way of the starboard side. So bench testing is something I need to have done? Or is there a way I can do some kind of test at home? They're like $150 each, so I don't want to just change them if not needed.

You can bench test if you can rig up a way to pressurize with fluid spraying in to a glass jar or similar. a 9V battery will trigger if you can find a way to energize with a suitable harness plug.

There are ultrasonic injector cleaning / testing / rebuilding services out there, too. Poke around the internet and you'll find one.

Lots of ways to do it.

Take a look here. Looks like you could get a whole replacement set for reasonable $. http://www.correctcraftfan.com/forum....asp?TID=18454

Yeah I saw some of those you tube videos with spray cleaner and a battery. A friend of mine is going to get me the number of a place he knows. Those were ford injectors. Everything I've seen with my engine were at least $150. But that was marine parts. If i can find the automotive equivalent, maybe i can find cheaper.
              Thanks again for your help

Hey, my apologies on the Ford vs. Chevy. I had replied to another thread about a 2001 and had it in my head that yours was 2001, too.
I'm confident Chevy parts are probably even cheaper. and automotive injectors will definitely work, but you'll have to research a bit the cross reference.

I did find some on ebay using the part number on the injector itself. Comes up as a mercruser part, but that should be ok. I worry though that if I just put new injectors, I won't know that an injector was for sure the problem.

Well I went thru the DIY ... YouTube ...injector spray testing and they all opened and closed fine...spray looked fine. Maybe move on to the fuel pressure regulator? Was thinking I could hook all the injectors back up to the rail but not the manifold and see if any are leaking? Click image for larger version

HMMM. 1. Is the pressure regulator vacuum indexed? If so, that's a possibility. I think the diaphragm can break and then dump fuel through the vacuum system. not sure about on this engine, but is a common problem on other engines.

                        2. It is possible one (or more) of the injectors leaks if left with pressure on it over a long time - guessing your rig can't test for that. If you have a fuel pressure tester, you can check rail pressure over time. it should not bleed down, at least most systems are designed not to bleed down. If it is bleeding down, it might solve your issue.

There is a vacuum line right on top

If it is attached the fuel rail on one side and vacuum on the other, I'd guess that might be the source of the problem.

If it looks something like this attached to the fuel rail - it could be the issue.
