Christmas tree lights surrounding the engine work well. Lower your boat to put some hull in the water too.

Make sure they are not LED.

You need wattage to keep it warm... may want a few strands of lights.

Or a single larger bulb (like 100W).

Also, dropping it in the water is a good idea.

I've heard several folks use an old or inexpensive electric blanket and have had great luck with them.

Doesn't the 2016 have the blue plugs for draining, if so why not just drain it, shouldn't take more then 20 minutes.

                It's more like 5 minutes.

I pulled the plugs but I am worried about the heater core.Any body know where it's located.

There should be a rubber hose coming from the intake manifold and the water pump, remove whichever one you can (manifold is usually easier) and blow thru it with your lungs, water should come out the adjacent drain you removed the blue plug from.

Yep, but I wouldn't worry about it. We had temps in the low 20s for 12+ hours here back a few months ago (which is unheard of temperatures for as far south as I am). I drained all the water just to be safe (except the heater core because I couldn't get the hose off). I stuck a drop light by the heater core. Had no problems at all. Many of my neighbors didn't anything except put a drop light in the engine compartment, and still had no problems. It really has to get really cold for a pretty extended period of time for anything bad to happen..especially if it the sun comes out and warms everything up during the day.
