Adjusting ballast timers Linc

Seems like this has been asked before but I'm surprised about the answer. Is it true that you cannot adjust the ballast timers with your Linc system? I have a 2014 210 with 850 in the lockers and 550 in the bow. I have a hard time believing I can't set a profile that has stock full and 3/4 bags filled. The pro ballast flag is selected but with the extra weight I still have to eyeball the bags. With all the tech is these boats it seems like this should be able to be adjusted...

That would be way too easy.....but seems to be the answer I have found is NO as well....kinda a bummer cause lots of users add extra ballast and they have ignored being able to manually change the timers.

Yeah my buddy who is a mastercraft guy was shocked.. of course went into his speech about how great mastercraft is, blah blah.. Seems like by now that'd have an option to custom add how much ballast you added and where and adjust the timers from that. Oh well I'll live

Agreed. I just pinged the service manager at my dealer and he confirmed that the timers are not adjustable in the dealer menu.

I'm not sure what my dealer did, but I mentioned my ballast wouldn't fill all the way without hitting the fill at least twice. They "fixed it." Now all I do is hit fill and wait to hear it overflow. I run 3 custom bags that total to 3350 lbs of water ballast including the hard tanks.

I may be way off here but I could have sworn I saw in the LINC dealer menu a way to adjust the timers. It was on my 2012 230 SANTE. I don't have it anymore so I can't check but its stuck in my mind.

There is absolutely a way the dealer can do it. There's a difference between the timing start/stop times between pro ballast and non-pro ballast.

OK. I'd sure like to see someone document how this is done. I'm not refuting you, I'm only relaying what my dealer said. They said on the 230 the Pro Ballast setting was a Yes/No setting alone.

Now it would make a LOT more sense if it was a configurable value in minutes...

I added the pro ballast option from the dealer settings screen earlier. It was only a flag to select. I didn't see a whole lot more you could do in the screen.

Yep, pro ballast option is either on or off. There is no other adjustment.

My case must be unique. After breaking it in last year for 15-20 hours, I got a letter from PCM stating I needed to bring my boat into the dealer for some sort of software update. It said they just needed to re-flash it or whatever. After that effort, the dealer discovered the update wouldn't take and they had to replace the whole ECM on mine.

So I'm back on the water after that and realize I'm having to run the pumps three times now to fill all of my ballast tanks/bags. Before the ECM replacement, I had to run it twice to fill all the way. That's because I had wake makers build 3 custom bags for the front and rear (3350 lbs of water ballast all hidden and controlled from the dash). I deal with the triple timer cycle situation for most of last season because it's a pain to haul it back to the dealer for just that. A month ago, I bring it to the dealer again for other stuff and tell them they didn't set the pro ballast timer thingy on my setup. They "fix it." Well low and behold... The thing runs until it's all the way filled and pees out the side now. Maybe it's broken. Who knows? I just know I don't want it fixed. I hit it once to fill and once to empty now. Funny thing is, it still shows all the levels etc as I'm filling and draining.

How are the level sensors in the transom tied in? I noticed on my 2014 210 that there are two sensors glued to the inside of the transom.

??? It's done by a timer. Not by a sensor. Not sure what you're seeing. Got a pic?

Ballast timers are not adjustable on any LINC screen.
Pro ballast is either an on or off option.
Ballast levels on newer Nautiques are monitored by a combination of timers and pressure sensors based on whether the boat is in motion or not.
