clicking

I have a 2000 air natique, i launched the boat yesterday and all it would do is click when i tried to start it. i baught a brand new batt. and new starter and it is still clicking and will not turn over. Any one have an idea of what it could be. Thanks for any help.

Sounds like a starter relay issue. Pretty common with the GT-40.

Starter relay sounds right, but make sure all connections are good and corrosion free. If any of your battery to starter connections are just a tad bit loose it could cause a similar issue. Not enough amperage will flow causing the starter to just click instead of engaging. Check the grouds also. A loose or corroded ground can cause all kinds of weird problems.

all that works fine. I put a new starter relay in and it is still just clicking. so now i have a new starter, starter relay, new battery and still boat will just click. any other suggestions. i appreiciate any idea out there.

Make sure that new battery is fully charged. I'd put a charger on it just to be sure.

Make sure to check out your main wiring harness plug. I had the same problem in my 04 SAn and that is all it was.

Sounds like a low batt. since everything else is new.

Maybe bad grounds.
