    Knock sensors and tune up

The knock sensors on my 2004/5.7L PCM failed last year and I am getting ready to replace them. Any heads up?
Beyond that I was planning on replacing my serpentine belt and plugs. Once I am that far any other recommendations?
Thanks, Bill (Zulu is the dog)

Is that a coil-over ignition or cap & rotor? If it's the latter, I'd sure replace those two parts as well.

Check the cap and rotor before you do plugs.

Do not use any teflon tape or similar on the threads of the knock sensor. 5.7 is likely an Excalibur, if boat is new to you or unaware when service was done last I would do a complete tune up, Cap Rotor Plugs and also the FCC filter.

Are you positive the knock sensors are bad? I thought mine was last year and it ended up being the wiring connection to it. I cut the old connector off and made a modified connection I found on this board.

PS - I called my dealer to get one and he was the one that questioned it being bad. I pulled it, bench tested it and checked good.
