2014 G21 reverse polarity alarm

Have there been any known issues with defects on the reverse polarity alarms? Today the port side battery's reverse polarity alarm sounded while we were hanging out letting the kids swim. When I started the boat it stopped and then it started again later. It wouldn't sound when the boat was running. Has anyone else had any random issues with their reverse polarity alarms?

I haven't heard of any known issues with that system.

I have the same thing going on my 16 G21. Has about 350 hrs on it. Nothing new. Batteries good and about a year old. Going on and off. Any thoughts on how to trouble shoot?

Did you figure thus out I have a 2016 G23 doing the same thing

I try to read what others have posted, for entertainment, but mostly to stay informed, especially when there is "G23" listed in the manuscript. Someday when I am out on the water or headed that direction and something goes pffft (never happens), thanks to what others have posted or something I read, I can know without a second glance the fix or remedy. Like the time my prop shaft sheared and sent shaft and prop down to the depths of Black Beard, I knew instantly what had happened, based on others experience (not to mention that the boat wasn't moving in any direction).
I feel that it is horrible etiquette, to start a thread with a problem and question, and not follow up with the found solution, it happens too often. NC_G21_Vol and fpjl, those alarms should be driving you crazy about now after all these years, I would think...
OK, done with my rant for the day, thanks for letting me vent.

Jspringe, good luck, and may you get some feedback here, and may we gain some knowledge when our alarms start sounding. I would suspect a faulty alarm?
