    Adding ballast bags in SV211

So before deciding to pull hard tanks or just run some piggy back sacs in the 211, I wanted to experiment and throw 2 400 sacks I have on top of the hard tanks. When changing to sacs or putting them in storage lockers, do I need to make any mods to keep sharp objects from puncturing sacs in there? I.e. Screws, metal brackets, etc.

I've got a 211SV (2005) and I just added a 400lb sac in each rear locker and they fit perfectly. They don't interfere with the batteries either.
They are the fly high Fat Sacs.
Made a great difference to being able to wakesurf!

Ian, thanks for the tips! A couple questions about your setup -
Did you remove the hard tanks? And you didn't worry about any screw tips anywhere?
      What was your speed here?
Where do you set your hydrogate?

Hard ballast still in the boat though. It used. The lockers have thin carpet and I didn't notice anything that would potentially cause a puncture (though the bags are tough!)
hydro gate didn't seem to make a difference though that was in the ski position.
Speed was 10mph dead -assuming PP is calibrated ok!

Key is a wakeshaper. The Mission delta is awesome!

So, does anyone do anything about any screws from the top deck to the hull puncturing bags or is this a non-issue I'm worrying about here?

My bags are in the rear quarter lockers so no issue with screws for me (just a reduction of storage space!)

Thanks Mike! Do you have a pic showing where your QSWS is stuck on your hull?

Looking to add some more weight to the front of my boat and came along the wakemakers kits. Just checking to see if anyone has had any experience with it and if its worth the money. I have a 2007 sv211 TE to compare. Already have pigbacks 400s in the rear, interested in adding some weight up front.

I have mine stuck right under the ballast overflow thru hull fittings, just under surface of the water... wake is significantly better with a crew in the boat too! I am currently having an issue with my starboard bag siphoning out as we surf on the port side... I suspect the thru hull is underwater pulling weight from the bag... I might just install a one way check to solve the problem.

I just looked at the link you provided on the piggyback bow arrow... not sure how the arrow will fit in the ski locker which is a rectangle unless there's an area waaaaaay ahead in the ski locker that can accommodate an arrow... just my 2 cents. How much total weight are you running in the back? You don't want to level the boat out too much or you'll lose your wake profile.

I am having the same issue with water siphoning out on the surf side as well, simple fix i had was plugging the port after filling. Let me know how the check valve works, just worried air might need to travel from the port while filling and dumping.

I have 400lbs piggy-backed on top of each of the stock in the rear locker with some crew of people the boat definitely hurts to get on plane. I looked up through the ski locker and seems like arrow sack will work. Wont be a fun install tho.

Try only half filling the extra 400's in the back and making sure the belly ballast is full.
