    RE: knock sensor

Is it connected? Make sure its torque settings are 15 lbs.

      RE: knock sensor

One more thing. Do not put any sealer, or thread tape on the sensor. It has to make an electrical ground to the block.

It is located on port side drain plug. Check that it was reconnected after winterization. You will have to have dealer reset error code.

I reinstalled the sensor on my EX - 330. However, I do not see any signs of an electrical connection to it. I assume there should be one...can you tell me where the required wire would go from there? Maybe I can trace it back.
          Thanks.

It will be hanging straight down in the very back of the boat from the top if I remember correctly and it is in line with where the drain plug is at. You will not be able to see the bottom (connection end). I believe it has a gray cable protector over it.

                Same problem

I have a 03 SANTE as well and I have gotten the same warning. I've checked to see that the wire is hooked up properly. At this point I have purchased a new knock sensor. I was told that when I replace the knock sensor I will have to take the boat to a Nautique dealer to have it reset. Is this true or when you hooked yours back up did the warning reset? I really don't want to have to take it to the dealer as they have told me it will take 3 weeks but on the other hand I don't want to run the boat if the warning is not just a bad sensor. Any suggestions? Thanks Robby
