I've had this boat for 2 years now and always wondered why my heater didn't seem to work, but it didn't bother me that much so I never looked into it. I had seen these hoses back in the engine compartment before and never really looked into it until I was replacing my oil drain hose today and it hit me. These look like they could be heater hoses, and they travel up in front of the v-drive. One hose terminates up near the thermostat and one hose terminates underneath the drivers side manifold. I held it up to a port in the block it looks like it may have been hooked up to.
My assumption is that at some point in this 16 year old boats life, the heater loop did not get winterized correctly and was just abandoned. If I could just get a confirmation that these are heater hoses and where they hook up, I will hook some garden hoses up and see if it's leaking and then possibly fix and hook up or just hook them up if I find no leaks.
Thanks!
