Hey everyone - fairly new to this forum but have enjoyed readying through posts that have been very helpful. We have owned our 05 226 for a couple of months now and have been out a half a dozen times.
Here is my problem: While running the boat at various speeds (sometimes in choppy water) the gauges (speedo, tach, and even perfect pass) turn off and then turn right back on...almost like there is a loose connection somewhere. Also, sometimes when trying to start to boat, after the code is entered, the start button does not do anything. I have found that wiggling the throttle, the bilge/on/off toggle, kill switch and cycling back through the start/code/start sequence gets it started. Not sure if these things are related or not but it is getting irritating. I am thinking it may be one of a few things but would love to hear from anyone who has had similar symptoms.
1 - Could it be the smart keypad? Have not seen that these have had many issues with other users.
2 - Could it be the bilge/on/off toggle or kill switch?
Thoughts?
