2012 230 wont start. Starter does not turn over.

Batteries are fully charged. The starter relay clicks but power is not getting to The starter trigger.
When I say relay I mean the relay on top of motor not the starter soleniid. Somehow power is not going from relay to starter.
    Lanyard is on.....

Dash gives me dtc code 606 microprocessor error.

    1) check your trans linkage, make sure its in N
    2) try hitting the starter with a hammer

Just dealt with something similar with my nautique 2 seasons ago and an pontoon outboard motor this year. Starters don't fail as often as the parts in between them and the ignition. Check your stuff in between the starter and ignition. Most likely one of the relays/solenoids!

I've checked the starter relay and it works it's something between that and the starter. Is there a lockout feature in the ecm that may be preventing it from sending the signal?

Not that I know of that would make it just "click"

It's more than likely 1 of 2 things.

            1) your main engine (usually 60 amp) breaker is tripped or bad. Sits on top of the engine near the relays.

            2) there are 2 red wires running to your starter. 1 is from the battery or battery switch. The other has an in-line 50 amp fuse that runs up to the main breaker mentioned above. If the fuse is blown you won't get any juice to your starter when you hit the start button.

Well, for your sake, I hope it's one of these. Took me about a month of replacing and tracing to figure out that was my problem. The experts here at PN kept throwing ideas out and helped get it fixed. Mine prob was #2.

Turns out it was the starter relay fuse beside the relay located on top of motor. It blew because the batteries were too low and the starter was trying to pull amps. The break in it was very hard to see replaced it and all is good now!

It was the 20 amp fuse in the large maxi size inside that relay /fuse box on top of engine.
Yes I am relieved it was minor and no need to go to a dealer. Considering the closest one is a ferry and 7 hours away.
