    Knock sensor

Boats running perfect. Just Towed my boat 2 hours for Memorial Day. Filled up with gas at the local lake. The knock sensor "see dealer" message came across. 2005 210 PCM Excalibur. 330 hp. 260 hours. Should I be concerned? Anything I should or should not do?

you should drain the tank and fill it up with quality gas

you could possibly add an octane booster but it sounds like you have bad gas

Yes its sounds like poor quality fuel . I would try the additive first and top off with better fuel. Try not to operate under heavy loads until you get it fixed.

How much old fuel did u have before filling ? Whatever was in the tank was likely bad so run thru it or add some premium and seafoam when you can. Any chance the block was drained and the knock sensor was not reinstalled correctly? Is it too tight or was Teflon tape added?

First let me say thank you to PN members. It is greatly appreciated for the sound advice. Update from the weekend. So the boat ran incredible. Found out the sensor was disconnected from the engine so I reconnected. How do I reset the knock sensor indicator on the dash?

Should be able to press and hold both up and down arrows on that gauge until it goes away. If it comes back, you still have a knock sensor error or need to reset the ECM on the engine. That takes a special tool or trip to the dealer.
