Adding New Internal Ballast Pumps to 2004 SAN210 - Recommendations?

    Hey Guys,

Looking into replacing the internal ballast pumps on my 2004 super air 210. Anybody used the Rule Tournament 1100GPH pumps? https://www.wakemakers.com/rule-aerator-short-ballast-pump-1100.html

Right now I'm running the Tsunami 1200GPH, but I run electronic actuators that open and close the valves which restrict the flow a bit and I don't think the Tsunamis have the torque to pump up tanks so I'm looking into more powerful pumps. And the original pumps would fill quicker.

Anyone have any other recommendations for pumps?

I bought three of these for the whole system: http://www.ebay.com/itm/DC-24V-1-2-B...item4d460dbdab. The pictures don't show the inside but it's pretty restricted.

But I just purchased these as a replacement and am going to start here: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0716KHT67/. They're 3/4" Full Bore instead. Will maintain the 1200GPH tsunami pumps with these new ones and see how it does. Taking it back out next weekend so I'll update how it goes.

Still could use some recommendations on pumps that have a higher flow than the tsunamis though!

I replaced the fill pumps with the same pumps that are used as empty pumps, in my 04. Rule 1100's I think. You will need to increase the intake hose from the through hull to 1". I also am using 1" electric valves. I don't remember what brand valves I used (its been a while), but they didn't effect my flow rates. You have to get creative with adapting the hose to the pumps. I think I just slipped the hose right over the threaded intake and secured it with hose clamps. I have all three tanks plumbed the same way. Its been 10 plus years and other than replacing 1 or 2 pumps along the way, everything still works flawlessly.

Thanks prowakeskater . I have them set up before the pumps in the rear. Just swapped them out with these: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0716KHT67/. But I don't think having them in front of the pumps will matter now (with the solenoids I think it definitely did)? They're full bore now though so the ball is as big as the hoses that feed into it.

bowvan Are the hull intakes 1" or 3/4" on yours? Probably a good idea to swap out with 1" if I really want to get some flow going.

I'm not sure, but I think I remember the inside diameter being 3/4". The 1" hose I used slipped over the top of it, just like the intake to the pump.

yeah theyre 3/4. I was going to go with 1200gph pumps but would have to change everything including 1" thru, 1" hose, and 1" ball valves when i already had 3/4.

OP- watch those ball valves so that they never sit in water. I had to replace mine because they got damaged by bilge water, which is why i put them on the top/output of the pumps, out of any standing water

                    cheers
