    210 prop upgrade

    2012 210 with 343

I'm looking at upgrading props, all I do is board and surf. I want better holeshot.

Will there be much difference between the 2 below?

    Acme 1617, 14x13.75, .105 cup.

    OJ 468, 14.25x14, .110 cup.

I know very similar. Does anyone run the OJ? I know some run the acme 1235 with no gel burn and it is a 14.5 diameter. So I figured a 14.25 would be fine.

Would the OJ get me better holeshot due to bigger diameter and slightly bigger cup?

For best holeshot....Go max diameter.... 14-14.5.... and lowest pitch... 12.

end of story. You'll run higher RPMs and burn more fuel.... but you'll have better holeshot and be able to carry more weight.

Search has a ton of info. I forget what I went with but it is the best option from reasurching.

The previous owner changed from the stock 645 13.25x16 to the 1579 13.5x14.25 on our 2011 210 SANTE (Zr 409). I'm very happy with the hole shot that produces for Wakeboarding with full stock ballast 3 adults 2 kids and 300 pounds of lead. I have not surfed with it but that's what the previous owner had it set up for w/ additional 750 bags in each rear locker. I see no gel burn and seems to be plenty of clearance with ours.

Just by the numbers, the ACME will give you better holeshot.

My Acme 1579 does fine with 2300 # ballast on my 08 210. It's at 3300 rpm at 10.6-7 mph for surfing. I average 4.7gph.

Bandit, you want a 14.5x12 based on what you say you want and the risk of gel burn.
