Perfect Pass problems on a 2006 210 TE. HELP!!

Took my boat out yesterday and the Perfect Pass seems to be acting up. The display does not work on the PP so I was going off of the regular speedo. The PP would set at 25+mph and hold great but if I tried to got any slower than 25 it would drop all the way down to around 10mph. Could there be a fix in the settings or something? I don't mind replacing the display and/or master module if I have to but if I can save myself $400 that'd be great. Lol

Btw I'm new to the forums as I just purchased this boat a little over two weeks ago. I have tried to search for people having the same issue but had no luck.

I would call Perfect Pass tomorrow and they will walk you through how to troubleshoot it. Mine was doing the same thing at the end of last summer, was going to trouble shoot it when I had the boat back together. Your boat does it have a paddle wheel? One wire provides 12 volts to sensor, one of the other wires provides the feedback signal to the computer. Mark at Perfect Pass told me to put a voltmeter between the wire and ground. Then have someone slowly turn the paddle wheel under the boat every 90 degrees your meter should go to 12 volts. If it only goes to 9 volts then you need a new sensor. Sorry I do not remember the wire colors on the sensor. Hope this helps.

The perfect pass module has some pretty good troubleshooting but if the screen isn't working, not sure what you can do.

Give them a call they have good support.

I'll try that this weekend, thanks!

Yeah I have a feeling I'm going to have to replace the display.

Have you checked for a loose wire or connection? I had one last year. Wire came loose and cause the pp to respond very slowly and erratically.

Check wires at the display, module and servo.

Definitely call Perfect Pass. Mark Schwarz is very helpful.

I haven't had a chance to mess with it yet but I'll definitely get to it this weekend.

I found loose wires on the Farina gauge upgrade for my 2002. They did not install the wires correctly. They had them pinched between the bracket that holds the gauge in and the nut. To make a good connection I had to install a nut and sandwich the wire between another nut. Will find out if this is all of my problems today.

The display on those era perfect passes are know to go out, my 06 display would act up as well. You can get a replacement from PP, I'd start with the call first personally
