My apologies if this is common knowledge. Our family was out for the 5th time this season, just finished filling ballast and ready to start a great day of fun. My 12yo says "dad, what's that sound?" We turn down the stereo and notice the motor is idling rough and promptly stalls when I attempt to throttle up. Although I was able to briefly get it running we returned to dock (specifics of getting back to the dock omitted) and dropped the boat at the dealer a couple days later. 4 days later I received a call with "good news" that the fuel starving was due to a small leak at the water fuel separator, preventing the fuel pump from building adequate pressure for the FI system. Per report the boat is running fine now and I pick it up tomorrow. Again, maybe common knowledge but a new option for me to consider if it happens again.
