    2003 San prop

Looking for input on what is the ideal all around prop for my 2003 super air. It has the excalibur 330. Thanks

Need specifics....At altitude? how much weight? primary usage? Different for each type of setup.

Sea level. Stock ballast with extra sack sometimes for surf. Just feel like it's a pig out of the hole if we want to slalom.

People either go with the Acme 1234 or Acme 1578...I just picked up a 1578 but, haven't tried it yet. Last weekend I was noticing the boat kinda taking a long time to plane out when I was sacked up, acme 644 (team prop) so, I'll be throwing the 1578 on for my next outing to see what the difference is.

1578 is the opposite of what you want for slalom. Great out of the hole power with 2k+ in ballast but lose a lot of top end speed. For example at 4000 RPM my 06 runs about 29mph empty with the equivalent prop.

What's on your boat now? The 644 should be able to do everything and get out of the hole great even with some weight in the boat, otherwise might be something else going on with the boat or the prop is warped/dinged.

I have the 1578, Acme. I love it. I load the boat down hard for surfing and wake boarding. About 2000 lbs of ballast... I don't even know what the top speed is. Never driven over 26 mph or so. But it pulls out of the hole hard.

have run the 1578 and rpm's way too high at 32. 644 has been the best of 3 worlds. fine for slalom, good for surfing, decent for wakeboarding. if the boat is full of ballast and people, it is sluggish. but who wants to slalom with a boat full of people anyway. I change my props based on my weekend plans and company.
              1578 36mph 5000 rpm
              644 42mph 5000rpm
              380 48mph 5000rpm

380 has best cruising rpm and free skiing rpm, but boat full feels like a pig. great with me and wifey only and a little fuel.

I have the stock prop which works good. I recently purchased the ACME 856. Pulls good with a heavier load vs. stock prop.

I recently put a 1578 on my 03 SANTE and love it but if you are going to slalom I'd say the 644 is a much better option for you.
