Who has changed their 98-99 tower to a newer, folding, FCT. I'm thinking about buying a 98-99 Air and would like to know the cost/work involved in replacing the tower with a 2000+ style or New Dimension. Can you use any of the original mounting locations? If not, how difficult is it to repair the old holes?

RE: Upgrading from early style tower
I installed a New Dimiension Tower this year. There are a few pictures in this post. The install is not difficult providing you are handy with a few basic tools and go slow and careful. Left me know it you want to know more.

RE: Upgrading from early style tower
I wonder how far off they really are. I want to get a cover without having to go the full custom route and am not sure if this is possible. Repairing the holes should be only a little more than a routine gel fix. I would think the hardest part would be matching the color of the older gel coat.Eric Fox

99 was just to the rear of the windshield. New style towers, on that boat, rear legs are about a foot or so behind the windshield. BKH2001 Super Air
