Bilge Pumps 2017 G25

New 2017 G25. With the boat on the trailer and the plug out, I have heard one of the bilge pumps running continuously.
Are they on a float or a timing cycle?
Also, Every time I turn on the power, the light on the dash (bilge) switch goes on. Is that normal? Does that mean they are in stanby mode or that one is running? If I push the button it goes off.

I sure hope a new pump is not running continuously. But it would not surprise me.
