My boat smells like sweaty feet

As hard as I try to avoid extra water in my boat, we were caught in a down poor Wednesday afternoon.

    I'm ready for Seadeck!

Days of everything out of the boat and a dehumidifier running. Ugh!

And I just detailed everything a few weeks ago. Now it is a mess again.

My previous boat had carpet. I would pour a bucket of water and simple green mixture on the carpet and in the bilge. Let it sit for a while then rinse it out. Let it dry in the sun if possible.

I know the feeling. My 230 had carpet and I was constantly cleaning it. Burned through a lot of baking soda and febreze
2013 G23 450 with NSS (175hrs) and still have the original prop

Until you can install seadek, I would recommend a product call matrix bottom line. I've been in the carpet business for 20 years, nothing eliminates smells out of carpet like it. It works on a molecular level so it's actually destroying the bacteria that is causing the smell. Put it in a pump sprayer and evenly mist over the carpet. The smell may get worse for a day but that is the product working. The smell should be eliminated by day two.

Thanks for the two carpet cleaning products mentioned. I keep everything super clean and stored inside. But you can't prevent feet on carpet.

I ran the dehumidifier for a few days and emptied all stored gear. We were out all day yesterday and the humidity was low and sun was strong. Almost dry in the bow section!

Great thing about the matrix is you can apply it to damp carpet. Super easy application and you can apply once a week to keep the smell down. Not to many product out there that actually work that are also very affordable! It's formulated to eliminate pet urine but can be used for many applications, so I have no doubt it will take out stinky feet.
