    Overheated with all ballast full

Have a 2014 210 and had one of my buddies out who is a real good wakeboarder. He always wants as much weight at possible. I have 850s in each Locker as pro ballast set up and 500 upfront under the bow. Running a 1617 prop. We filled everything with 3 adults and 4 kids on the boat. Had issue plaining but when it did the wake was popping. However after the first fall I couldn't get it to plain and I was overheating at around 210 degrees. I let it cool and drained some of the rear tanks and was able to continue. However the wake was sick with all the weight. Would more bow weight help or am I pushing my 343 engine to hard and need to back off with the weight?

It shouldn't overheat. How old is the impeller?

I agree. I don't think it should overheat. The engines with closed cooling system will start to get hot when they are pushed really hard, but that's because the heat exchanger can only do so much. I wouldn't expect a raw water cooled engine like your 343 would do that.

More bow weight should help it plane out. Sometimes all it takes is having 1 or 2 adults move from the back of the boat to the bow.

Went for a ride today(not filling the bags all the way up) ran with no issues... seems like it must have been the extra weight...

You may want to check the strainer too.

Ahhh nice call. Strainer is at a different spot than my old 2003 and I haven't been checking as often.. it was pretty mucked up. Thanks!

Heavy weight should not make it overheat.
clean the strainer, check the impellor and run it heavy again.... let us know!

Impeller was good and was able to sack it out and get in plane. Might need a body in the bow to plane out faster. Regardless it seemed like the strainer was the issue
