Why not just cut that tank out in pieces with a dremel/reciprocating saw and just replace with a bag? I'm surprised they still use hard tanks. I just assumed everything was bags these days.

Turns out that Felxseal tape is some pretty nasty sticky stuff. Thanks for the tip, Traves. Now, to just be able to get it into that crazy tight place without folding it over on itself and hope it holds water back... Fingers crossed... Should know this weekend if it'll work at least on a temporary basis.

I see this post is old but I’m having the same cracked belly tank issue in my 2007 SANTE 210. I was also told the gas tank would need to be removed and it to be replaced with a bag. Before taking the $$ hit, I wanted to attempt a repair since the crack is accessible. Did the Flex seal tape work?

I discovered that I have the same issue with a cracked front ballast tank on my 2015 230 SANTE. Looked up a post as to how to get to it with the removal of the back panel in the front storage compartment.
Really not anyway i can access anything to the tank without removing the fuel cell and brackets to hold the ballast in place. Am I missing something to better access the tank? I can see the drain hoses that come up and out but the hole is small and almost impossible to get to. Really cant see any where where i can access from up top?
Does anyone know what a dealer replacement is going to run me if they have to replace the entire thing with a new tank? Trying to get this warrantied out since i think this has been an issue for a while and only noticed it when my bilge quit working. That's another story. Thanks
