Does anyone know where I can get my hands on an Acme 1492 prop for me to try on my 200 Ski. I've heard conflicting reports, so I don't want to but a new one if it fails the test.

That's a huge prop, doubt there's an engine that was ever offered in the 200 that can pull it cleanly up to its power peak. Cutting the rpm down may soften the rooster a little if that's what you're going for, but lugging a larger prop is going to be incrementally harder on the driveline and will otherwise negatively impact performance (holeshot and top end speed).1990 Ski Nautique

Haven't heard anything... must be brand new? Not even listed on Acme's website yet.

Looked it up... 13.25x15.5, .150 cup 3-blade.
Sounds like a 1442 with 1/2" more pitch and a bit more cup. I'd be curious if it's a pancake or one of their more raked designs. I may have to call and find out.
Anyways, I would imagine it should act incrementally larger than the 668 (12.5x15.5, .150) which is a good match for the 6L 196. Might be a bit too much prop for a 200 unless it was a 6.2L. Just a guess.1990 Ski Nautique

I'm just searching for a prop that will get my rpm's down at 34 mph but won't hurt my wot too much. The boat still has plenty of snap with the 668 but is running around 3700 rpm at 34 mph. I know the hull on this thing isn't the norm but I think it will do better with a little prop tuning. Thanks again
