    What a weekend !

Well my weekend started off good and ended real fast. We were about an hour from our dock in BFE trying to find good water when our battery switch fell apart and parts went everywhere inside the boat. So I took the interior panel below the dash off and moved battery one to the main post so we could get home (took about two hours to figure everything out). To all others out there if this happens to you , you will need pliers and a flat head screw driver . I shielded the back of the battery switch with a zip lock bag and bandaids /medical tape from our first aid kit . Pick below

Then we decided to take the boat out Sunday after our stressed out day Saturday and after a couple hours I get this!!

Got it home and headed to dealer today . But I contemplated sticking a rag in the gas tank this weekend for sure .

On a side note ...if anyone from nautique is listening the issue with the battery switch is the screws used to assemble it . They are two long or wide . Here is a pic below showing all 4 ears broke off

Looks like they were too wide and cracked the plastic. Glad you got back alright.

I've had the exact same issues with my 2013 210. First my switch failed but luckily in the driveway. Same mode of failure. I also had the exact same linc warning. Mine turned out to be a clogged freshwater strainer. Washed it out and no further issues. Good luck!

This is at least the third battery switch failure I've seen now. And exactly the same way. The lugs are completely broken off inside the switch and it falls apart. I read somewhere here on PN that this is caused by the weight of the battery cables pulling down on the switch which is exacerbated by driving through choppy water.

We need to come up with a way to mitigate this. Perhaps there's some way to attach the cables inside so they're supported. If anyone comes up with a solution, please post it here.

I asked about this and Buxton says it's clear . It's here now and they are attempting to reflash the computer because they think that's the issue .

Buxton jumped on my boat asap , found that the water strainer was cracked , maybe this caused the issue .

Kudos to buxton once again for great service
