Engine quit while surfing in 230.

I have a 2016 230 and the engine quit while I was surfing. I Almost landed in the boat... anyway the screen stayed on and my wife pushed start and it started back up. It seems to work fine now but... was thinking maybe seaweed in prop. Any other ideas? Should I be worried? She did not push stop and we don't use the red kill laniard thing.

    Thanks.

This happened twice to us in our 16 G23. It went from running to accessory mode. Once was coming in to dock and once was when I was surfing. I almost ended up in the back of the boat as well. I told the dealer but they couldn't figure it out. Hasn't happened the last 40 hours or so. Very dangerous to lose power like that. It still makes me a bit nervous that it might happen again.

Thanks for reply. We have been out the last couple days and everything seems to be ok. Will hope it was a one time thing.

Your fuel levels were not impacted by the tilt of the hull? Make sure you have clean fuel and levels are high in order for the pump to work consistently in a surf wake mode.

No. Tank was at least 1/2 full and fuel was clean. We surfed the next couple days after as normal til the tank was down to 10% with no issues.

In my 2016 G23 this has now happened 4 times! First time I was driving and we were low on fuel. So I did not think anything about it. Then it happened to me while I was surfing twice and once when I was driving and my son was surfing. No dealer near by....not sure what to make of it??? Dangerous though. I was wondering if I bumped that red lanyard too or something was sensitive there? Mystery.

Also, where do people get the custom hull decals replaced? The big ones?

This just happened to me yesterday. I was running about 30 miles per hour and the engine just quit. The scary part is that a kid on a jet ski was timing me to jump my wake and he almost crash in to me. pretty scary. The kid went away but i am sure he thinks i was an A hole and did that on purpose. Nautique should investigate this before something really bad happens.. Let's see if any other people knows about this problem.

              Thanks,
