2000 PAN - Tranny

I was on the lake the other day and noticed a weird sound when in reverse. Just after I get in reverse I hear what sounds like some light knocking or something similiar to bolts rumaging around; it is very subtle. When I throttle up in reverse it goes away but reverse is not smooth or consistent, it more like pulsating. When in forward gear no noise like this and it runs great.

Any thoughts?

Tranny reverse noise

This a nature that some noise and not so smooth will make and not so smooth when the tranny turn reverse,but forward should be quiet, by the time the trnny wear,the noise may become louder. any thing wrong you feel exept noise ?
if the noise and small vibration don't annoy you too much when reverse ,take it easy. just take care about trnny oil.
