I am in need of a ecm computer for a 1998 boss gt40 multiport efi engine. no longer available from pcm. (bad news) does anyone have a used one available? Mine is bad according to dealer and pcm. All sensors have been replaced and ignition components. does anyone have experience with a ecm rebuilder who has availability to update firmware in ford mustang computer which is converted to marine use? I have seen threads on this forum but not sure if a reliable solution exists. thank you.

yes , I saw this thread and thank you all for helping. I have copied the e290 file but I am not sure what to do next. Do I wait to see if someone else has had success with the chip or do I see if a computer rebuild shop can reprogram an ecm for me. I have a bad track record with computer files,( just ask my secretary at work) I am afraid to try myself as I I do not understand how to program firmware. I would need step by step instructions as I have difficulty even finding how to post on this forum let alone reprogram a ecm.Comment
