While out today I noticed that the rear heater tube only delivers a very weak flow of warm air while the driver's heater tube has steady flow of warmer air and the defrost also has strong flow. Does each tube have it's own dedicated fan? Or is it more likely that the rear tube has become detached somewhere near the source?

So the heater core has two warm air outlets. Usually the top one goes to the defroster and the bottom one goes to a Y-splitter and then hits down by the drivers feet and the long tube that pulls out into the cockpit. Almost for sure, one of those is split. You'll have to dig into it and figure out what's wrong but the repair is easy. New tube and some zip-ties.

I used rv sewer line...much thicker...If not for the pull outs works great...the thinner stuff is maybe better for the pull out "hot tubes"... just kind of depends on how long you need, if not in a "hot tube" I would use the thicker stuff. If use the thicker stuff in the hot tube you can't fit as much length in the tube cause it is thicker. Below shows a heavy duty and a standard...both of which will probably be thicker then the stuff that comes with the heater.
