    100 Amp Alternator Died, Help

I have a 2001 SAN and back in 2013 I upgraded to the 100 amp alternator after the stock one died. Yesterday the 100 amp one died, got hot and broke the belt, so now need to get a new one. Couple questions:

    1) Does anyone know where I can just get the 100 amp alternator without getting the whole kit?

    2) Any recommendations on where to get the alternator rebuilt?

    Thanks for the help

You should have a local rebuild shop in the Des Moines area I use a&t auto electric in Ottawa IL. They charge around $80 for rebuild and generally have it next day.

I second just having it rebuilt. Most rebuild shops (well at least around the lake area by me) have a healthy stock of rebuilt marine alternators and will just swap that same day saves you $$$ too.
