Hey, boat has been in storage for almost a couple years now and trying to get it out on the water again. Notice this part has dried minerals all over it. Can anyone help me identify and tell me if it looks concerning. I'm thinking a leaky gasket maybe. Thanks

That looks like the bottom of the distributor, yes? If it's got some surface corrosion, it's probably nothing to worry about (mechanically) on the inside. But if it's been stored for a couple years, be sure to check the distributor cap (and rotor) for any corrosion anyway - it's an easy fix. A new cap & rotor wouldn't be excessive for a boat that's been sitting.
I'm sure you're also changing fuel filter(s) before running it... and probably the impeller, just because it's been sitting in the housing with its blades bent over for however long it's been stored...
Edit: the second picture shows the thermostat housing and gasket. That's the yellow-ish bit sticking out between the black parts. Unless there's a sign of water dripping down from that gasket, it's nothing to worry about. I don't see evidence of a leak.
Has this boat been run in salt water?

Sorry, new boat owner. Most of that flew over my head. I was going to wait till after the first run to change the fuel filter, but can do it prior if recommended. Not aware of distributor cap or impeller, will need to search on that.
both pictures are of the same part, one is zoomed in. The yellowish gunky part is the one In question. Boat has never been in saltwater. I won't touch anything that's been in salt after living in fl for so long.
thanks for the help

Impeller change is pretty straightforward, but if you've never done it, here's a link:

Dumb question, but you do know not to run it on the trailer (out of water) for any period of time without water hooked up somehow, right? Sorry but I gotta ask....

No worries, better safe to ask. To give the long story, I bought it two years ago. Took it out once. Ran great, just had it in to the dealership for a tuneup prior. I winterized it. Fogged the engine. Changed oil. It has now sat for two years. Never got it out last summer. And I'm behind this summer even. So it has been about two years, but it was protected somewhat during that time. I ran it once out of water pulling the intake hose and running in the bucket.
I just got done pulling most of the interior, the fuel tank, and the freakin ballast tanks to do a steering cable replacement. What a chore. I have a feeling I'll be sawzalling those things apart shortly.
