Hello-
I have a bit of an issue with the boat this week. While out wake boarding on Tuesday, the serpentine belt broke on our 2007 SV211 Team. PCM 330 Excalibur. It ran for less than a minute (wife was towing me) - seated to and started beeping., so wife dropped down to idle, turned around and shut down the boat. Temp gauge read 186 when I got on the boat.
Went to start it (did not know belt was broken at this point) - and just got a big clunk. Tried 1 more time, and the starter blew. Hit start button and just got a whizzing sound, no engagement. got towed back. Talked to a friend of mine (ex boat mechanic) he immediately said hydrolock. I removed all plugs and had water in 2 of them. My friend said this could be lack of pressure (due to no water pump pressure) let some water back in the exhaust valves. Anyway - I need to try to spin the crankshaft by hand with the plugs out. I cannot seem to get a socket to fit right on the crankshaft bolt. Does anyone know the size of that bolt ? is it US or Metric ? None of my US seemed to fit.
