    2000 GT-40 no crank.

Boat hasn't been started in almost 2 years. It was properly winterized when it did start last and had no known mechanical issues. Trying to track down the issue and could use some help.

    1. New fuel, new fuel filter. Pretty sure i hear the fuel pump when in accessory mode. I loosened FCC drain plug and got some fuel coming out so I know that filled up correctly after the fuel filter change.
    2. New battery. I think it showed up a little low on charge, but i have a big battery starter on it when i try to crank and it doesn't help.
    3. Distributor cap looks very clean and no signs of corrosion at all.

When i try to start i get a couple beeps and the check engine light is on. (red light). That's about all that happens.

Thanks in advance for any input.

Ok, WHEW. Got it started. Looks like the throttle stick must not have been in perfect neutral. I jiggled it a bit and then it started right up.

If you have future problems, disconnect your battery terminals between uses or add a disconnect/switch. You get battery draw from the keypad and stereo that will drain the battery enough to cause erratic starting issues.
