    2016/17 Fuel Line Routing TSB

i don't have my letter from Nautique yet, but my dealer told me about this (what I call TSB). I was told not to use the boat until the fuel line routing and securement is checked. This is apparently for H5 & H6s, 2016 and 2017. Who has info?

Jeff-I just realized that this should go into the maintenance-technical forum... Sorry...

Mine is in for service as we speak. Was told it is mostly the models that have a heater installed but potentially could be the non heater models as well. A quick inspection tells them if your boat is effected by it. Mine is not and is a 17 G23. They looked at the models that were on the floor there (we bought at same place) and the models were all ok as well. Hope this helps. Heard about it from them as well last Friday and a follow up yesterday.

I received a call from my dealer today to not use my G23 2017 until
they check it for fuel issue.

I got a call yesterday and had a technician come out to look at my boat (2017 G21). It apparently needed to have the fuel lines re-routed (moved) and took about 15 minutes to complete. My understanding is that the line could be relatively close to a belt, which could cause it to rupture the line, but I'm probably the least tech-savy person on this site!

You are 100% correct. Its the serpentine belt that it is close to and if it rubs could cause heat + Fuel = bad day. Some boats have the issue, some don't. Mine was already in for service so it was a quick inspection. They said the majority of the boats affected were models installed with a heater system.

Anyone have more specific info on this or a picture showing bad routing. It is an hour one way to the dealer and would like to save the time and gas if I can check it myself.

Just received a call from my dealer and they are saying if the boat falls within a HIN range then the fix needs to be made, with or without a heater. There goes 4 hours of my life and $50 in gas.

Just got a certified letter stating that some G boats with H5 & H6's could have a improperly routed fuel line by the serpentine belt pulley. If contact, possibility of fuel leaking, causing a possible fire..

Not sure if I have one, but I did the one with bad idler pulley arm..

                  Be safe and happy boating.

Just had my 2017 G23 serviced this week - They replaced the belt tensioner, re-routed the fuel line and adjusted the exhaust hose length. Plus got a Linc update and an oil/filter change. Didn't lose a day on the water. Thankful for that.

For anyone who wants to know, here is where they rerouted the fuel lines, at least from what I recall as I don't have pictures of where they were before.

They also added a zip tie attached to the stringer to hold the lines in place.

2 hours of drive time and 2 hours for the dealer to make the fix (I was there first one so they had to figure it out I guess ). That is 2 recalls in less than a month, I hope this is the end of it.

Can't believe dealers aren't sending techs out to you guys! With the cost of these bad boys, the service should be done with minimal pita for the owners! In any case, be safe!

gmdog2 Out of curiosity why did you have to get towed in? I have had some issues with my 17 G23 but they are all ironed out now.
