    Which prop for 2005 SANTE?

I just bent my prop on a stupid log in my channel. I'm thinking of upgrading my prop but I'm stuck between the 856 and the 1578. I'll be running just over 3000lbs ballast for surfing and a portion of that for wake boarding. Anyone running a similar set up? Suggestions?

With the 1578, you're in the sweet spot for your useage. The 856 goes the opposite direction and gives you more top end, but kills your torque.

I've been running the 1578 a couple of weeks now. Couldn't be happier, great hold shot, gets on plane quickly and good torque even accelerating at speed. Motor tachs out a bit more but, I generally don't run my engine hard

+1 for 1578. Plenty of threads on here with people happy running that prop if you search. Like wakejunky, I keep the engine in mind and usually set my PP for 4000 RPM when cruising.

I have the 856 and really like it. It allows me to handle full ballast for surfing and then throw on a slalom ski. I think the 1578 is much better for the heavy loads but would imagine you really have to be mindful of RPMs for cruising. Ewallace has an 856 for sale.
