On my 05 196 I've noticed a minor vibration (in the floor at my feet) rolling into and out of the throttle--when pulling a skier. Any suggestions where to look? The prop is an Acme and looks/feels fine. I'm going to check the shaft alignment tomorrow when the boat is in the water--but can't imagine that being the problem given it's an 05 with less than 170 hours--but stranger things have happened. The shaft play at the strut/bearing feels very similar to my buddy's 02 196 so I can't imagine the strut bearing being the problem--but again, worth checking. Any other ideas?

RE: vibration
SGY,
2 years ago, my buddies LX hit a floating Corona bottle. We felt the same thing after that.
The prop looked fine, but after switching props, it went away. You may have a bad prop, even though it looks good. If you have a spare, check it out.Life long Nautique guy
Will ski anytime.

vibration
the computer don't record the err code, and no indicator,my test way is while the engine runing idle, take out the sparlplug from the sparkplug one by one,you can feel different, (rpm, the sound,....) if no change, that sparkplug may ng.

RE: vibration
Richard, what year boat do you have? Is it a 03 or higher Limited?
Mark. Makes sense. My buddy has an 02 196 that's perfect. I'll try his prop. This promo boat did slice a turtle in half down in Kentucky. The front tracking fin has a chip in it. While that shouldn't cause the vibration maybe a part of the critter hit the prop too.
