    Knock sensor error code?

    Hey guys, was out surfing in our 2017 G23 today and in some rough water when the following error code appeared:

    DTC 1325 Knock Retard at Limit

    The engine went into idle from surf speed, then I took it out of gear. After that, everything seemed normal.

    I am halfway through a tank of gas I get from the same place every time, so not sure it is a gas issue. Also seemed very random and not sure if it had to do with the rough water?

    Does anyone know what that code means and is it a concern?

    Thanks in advance for any advice/ideas and loving the boat so far!

          Thanks. Still getting it and have varied the gas quite a bit, even going slightly higher octane.

          Heard you can get this error when the boat is "learning" a new octane level, but starting to think maybe a bad sensor.

              I keep getting this message as well. It seems to be happening when I am at slower speeds but if I accelerate harder it does not appear? Never have I had this happen? I cannot get a hold of anyone at PCM either they will not phone my dealer back.

                  We use premium fuel with no added ethanol. This should make a difference in how the timing will be adjusted by the ecu.

                      I get that error code if I go from regular non eth gas to premium mon with gas from time to time. I just hit ignore and go on with my business. It is the engine adjusting to the new octane levels

                          Had same fault code on my 2016 G23. PCM provided firmware update for dealer to re-flash ECM.
