    Tower has too much play

Fct4? I think. I have a half inch of play in my flight control tower on my 2011 sante 210. The Tower of rocks back and forth in use when tension is applied to the tow rope. I have even had the lock mechanisms Come Undone while Towing and the tower fold down while driving.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any ideas out there? I cannot seem to find any sort of adjustment in the latch mechanism. Any input is greatly appreciated.

This is a FCT5 tower, From the limited photo view It appears as if this tower never got the updated "Heel Block Kit" it should have had installed. The Cam Latch is probably stretched out and/or failed. I would highly recommend not using the boat again until this has been repaired. Who is your local Nautique dealer? I would be happy to help you get this resolved.

It is an FTC3 not FTC5. The lever doesn't look like it's locked. When you turn the lock/unlock handle it will get tight and then cam over to the locked position.

Try this: Unlock both sides move the unlock handle all the way clockwise this will reset the cams. Make sure the tower is pushed all the way closed. Rotate the handles until they get tight keep tuning them and it should more about 1/8 or so of a turn to lock which is the cam locking in place.

biggertanks This is an FCT5 not an FCT3. I am the National Sales Manager and head of Customer Service for Roswell and we built this tower. As I stated before this tower did not have the Heel Block Kit installed that it should have many years ago. Considering that you have already stated the tower has fallen once I HIGHLY RECOMMEND not using the boat again until you get this fixed. Please contact your local Nautique dealer immediately to get this resolved. I am available if you have any questions as well tracy@roswellglobal.com or 321-638-1331 Please get this tower update immediately!

Thanks Montana Boat Guy...I checked out a tower that is from a 2013 model year and it has the heel block kit as described. I called tracy @ roswell and he was great and we are working toward getting the issue resolved. I was looking for a maintenance bulletin or something of that sort to give to the local dealer. Does anyone know where that could be found? Thanks again!
