Connecting a pebble watch to a nautique

Hello All

I have a 2017 Nautique 210, Im wondering how you connect a first gen pebble watch to the linc system. I down loaded the app on the watch and it come up but cant seem to get the speed and NSS to change.

Do I need to set it up on my link system?

Any info would be appreciated

First, be sure you have the Surf Select option on your boat. If you do not, you will not be able to pair the Pebble Watch.

If you do, you will need to pair the watch to the LINC system. Be sure to unpair it from your phone first.

Also, if your Pebble Watch is running an OS newer than 2.9.1, you will need to downgrade the OS before Surf Select will work. See this guide for more information.

Yes. I have a 2017 230 and I did not have to downgrade the OS on my Pebble. It's running the latest and greatest (honestly, probably the last version) and the latest version of the NSS app. Works like a champ. In fact, it works so well that most everyone now asks for "the watch" when it's their turn to surf.

I ended up buying 2 more as spares on eBay.

Sorry, Pair with boat, times out every time. I bought 2 pebble times and cannot get either to pair with boat.

What is a good number, maybe u can talk me through.

I am pretty certain i am missing something basic

Here are the instructions:

1. Go to the Pebble's Bluetooth menu (if the watch is not on its own Bluetooth menu, it will not pair)
2. Go to the LINC Preferences-System Page
3. Select Pair Pebble
4. When the watch vibrates and asks for Pair, select Yes.

If this doesn't work, you may need to do the "Downgrade Firmware" procedure Jeff outlined above. I'd be surprised if that was really necessary on a 2017.

Got a call and email from Nautique asking me couple simple questions, a nice surprise as I was still having issue with pairing my pebble. Well good news, I wasnt going crazy. Turns out my 17’ did not have the updated NSS module (if that the right word). Going to be updated and, fingers crossed, I should be able to pair my Pebble Time with my boat. Just wanted to give a thanks out to Nautique ...

Please update us when you get it sorted. If you can, go into the System settings on the boat and record the firmware version you have now. That way we'll all know which versions are problematic.

Ill send pics once back, Nautique sent me a new module, i had v1 and 2017s supposed to have v2. Once back i will take pics of screen and the module removal/install ... sorry out town for work until this coming weekend ... stay tuned

Hoping someone can help, just bought a pebble time, hardware says snowy23, what is the correct downgrade for this watch and a 2019 G23? And why in 2019 do they still support a watch that doesnt exist. ridiculous

See below. These are the steps Charles used to get another member up and running. Although I have had a Pebble Time with my 2017 G23 and used it for 2 years, I had to speak with Charles to get me up and running this season. I have high-jacked his instructions below:

OK, to close on this issue:

- 2019 SANTE 230 so it has the Surf Select 2.0 module
- Pebble Time watch

Steps we took to get this going:

1) Factory reset on the watch.
2) On the phone go to Bluetoot settings, select the watch and "forget" it.
3) On the phone, web browser to auth.rebble.io.
4) Login to Rebble site.
5) From the Pebble app on the phone go to the App Store, find and download the Nautique Surf Select app.
6) Once the watch is finished resetting, connect to it from the Pebble app on the phone.
7) This will update the watch to firmware version 4.4 and automatically install the Nautique Surf Select app.
8) Once that's done, verify that the Surf Select app will start on the watch.
9) From the watch, go to Bluetooth settings and "forget" the phone.
10) From the phone, go to Bluetooth settings and "forget" the watch.
11) From the boat, get to the system settings menu and select "Pair with Pebble."
