Has anyone ever had this issue before? I pick my boat up from the dealer after a warranty issue and my engine cover kept coming unlatched whilst driving down the freeway. The latch seems to be working properly and looks well aligned. What gives!!!

We had the engine cover pop open on our 216 if someone sat on the cover and then got up. We had the dealer move the latches 1/4 inch, under warranty, which solved the problem for good.Comment

I would get that fixed RIGHT away. I've seen a boat where the engine cover became a highway projectile. Lots of neat damage to the boat and the cover had to be replaced.

Happened to me while pulling a skier up on a deep water start. Trashed the cover and scared the holy crap out of me. Get it fixed.Comment
