    2000 PCM for GT40 Needs Repair/Replace

Not sure if this is the right subject for this forum...Was just informed by my dealer (Austin, TX) that my 2000 PCM for GT40 has a bad EMM for the high pressure fuel pump driver. Bummer, no longer available. The PCM controller part number is R116009. Was wondering what options i have, if any....noting that new or upgrade from the oem (or Ford) is not avail. Options? 1) used on ebay is a risk; (2) not sure if there are repair shops that can repair the bad part of the board; Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the forum. The first thing I would try is find a local parts store that is a Cardone dealer. They can send your old ECM in for repair, They repair lots of ECM's for cars but do not have the calibration code for our boats. Once they have repaired one they will have it in their system. You can look the company up on the internet and talk to their customer service this is all the information that I have gotten from them. If you do not get the old one repaired I would be interested it so I could send it in to get repaired. They said it would only take 5 working days to repair once they had it in house.

Thanks for the info. Fgroce. I called CarDone and they were a little less helpful with mel; they said they would take a look at it, but really had not way to test (need to write a calibration code / test program), which the tech guy said 'would probably not do' because of low/no demand. The first trick would be convincing a distributor to take it w/o a part number and send it in.

Hi Gary s, not sure if your attachment is correct. I'm interested in your post, but cannot access.

KDownes, who did you end up sending it to? I hope they get you back on the water soon.

Gents, Here is the back story...see above (original post) with a problem with my ECM/ECC for a 2000 Air Nautique with a GT40 by PCM. Evidently there was an electrical short on high pressure fuel pump which fried this "driver" on the ECM board. PCM / CC Dealer did not have any solutions nor local repair options. I was on my own. My local mechanic hooked me up with a repair facility in Miami that repairs all type of ECMs, automotive and marine. Did not need reprogramming or complete replacement, as this topic is being discussed under a different forum. After some UPS charges and $300, i was back in business. Here is the contact info. in case anyone needs it:
