PerfectPass - A little guidance please

We've had our boat for a while and just now am starting to participate in more "boat" activities as the kids have gained interest. Our 04 AN 216 has PerfectPass and I understand it as a "cruise control" for the boat but haven't had any success in using it. Searched YouTube for a how-to video and no luck. Anyone care to give me a few bullets on how to get up an running with PerfectPass for wakeboarding 18-20 mph and surfing 10-11 mph.

I had an 04 Malibu VLX with Perfect Pass, which is a must option in any ski/ board boat. If yours is anything like mine was you should have 3 buttons. #1: On/ Off #2. Increase Speed (arrow up) #3 Decrease Speed (arrow down). First thing you need to do is turn it on, which you MUST be in neutral for. Your screen should now turn on and display your speed. Adjust your speed accordingly using the arrow buttons. Throttle up and once you're close to the speed you've set up you should hear a beep indicating Perfect Pass is now active. The boat may need a bit more or less throttle, but should settle close to the speed you have set.

If its on, speed set, and your pulling a skier/ boarder at the speed you set and you don't hear a beep... I fear your Perfect Pass is not working.

Again,.. Make sure it's in neutral when you turn it on.

I know my old VLX isn't the same as your boat, but I thought PP may have been similar enough to help out. Good luck!
