Speed gauge replacement paper

I tried to search the forum for this topic and google with no result. When I got back from vacation, I notice that a bunch of gnats got into my speedometer and died, not really sure how. Since I have to take off the dash to get to the gauge to clean out the gnats, I figured since it's off, I might as well replace the faded white paper. Any help with pointing me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

It isn't paper.

Jeff, thanks for the info and the link. My speedo should be identical to yours, I have a 98' super sport.

Two question:
1. Did you have to special order the "Nautique" plate? I could only find the plate that says "correct craft".
2. Why did you choose to paint your speed needle instead of just replacing it with a new one?

Here is a pic of the gnats. On closer inspection, I can see cracks in the rubber grommet. I'm wondering if they somehow got in there from that area? Has anyone else ever had this problem?? I guess this is the draw back of night surfing with a boat full of lights!

I didn't have to replace my plates. I wonder if they can make those. I would e-mail them and check. They seem to be pretty responsive.

I painted my needles because I found and bought the paint before I found that site!

I replaced my lenses and grommets, cleaned my plates, and painted my needles.
