I sent mine back to Walter in NJ a few years ago. They can repair and if unable will sell
you a brand new unit. I'd stick with Walter so you don't have to get into modifying the mounts or worry about everything lining up with your prop drive shaft.

Pretty expensive....$1200 I want to say? It needed a new copper cooling line, new bottom gasket and a new top cap and oil pump rebuilt I believe . The main housing and gears were okay. If either of those two major items fail then your looking at a new unit as I recall. New unit was like $3000 or something I can't recall for sure. Give em a call they were very nice and helpful over the phone.

Begs to be asked...Why would the v-drive go out? Things like this make me really nervous and anything I can do to help prevent it and I on it.
Also, if you do need a rebuild, could they change the rotation for the pre-2006 years?
