    Leaking water - 2001 Air

Just recently bought a used Air nautique and love it! One problem though - the bilge area seem to take on excess water. It doesn't necessarily get worse when I fill and drain the ballast system. I also have water that accumulates in the ski locker - where could that be coming from?
Anyway, any ideas to troubleshoot the problem? Also, the water is warm when the bilge kicks on which leads to believe something with the exhaust?

My boat options include ballast system as well as a heater. Help!

Check to see if your packing gland is letting in excessive amounts of water. You can see the packing gland by lifting the round access panel on the floor between the rear seat and the engine hatch.

Fill water inside on trailer and visual check under the boat will easy to find if the hull leak, but take care water level, don't flood the engine!

Check your radiator core for your heater. Is there water dripping from the heater. That is one common place. Also thete is a plug in the back fo the muffler that sometimes pops out. I would bet on the heater core if the watewr is hot. If the radiator doesn't have shutoffs you can trace the hoses and disconnect the hoses and plug the inlet and outlet or use a loop of hose.

Maybe the heater is leaking since the water is warm. A leaking exhaust manifold would be easy to spot if dumping enough water to activate the bilge pump.
