    SV211Team wont turn over

I have a 2005 SV211 team that wont start. New batteries and fuses are all good. It is in neutral and the quick-kill switch is engaged with the plastic hold-down piece. The bilge main on-off bypass switch is on. There is no solenoid click normally heard when there is a bad battery. Is there a bypass for the neutral engage or quick-kill on the engine to rule out these switches as bad or a bypass on the solenoid to rule out the starter? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

previous boat had a problem with corrosion on the cable from the battery to the engine. Just touched it and the connection came back. Took me all weekend to find it. (then cleaned it well and traded it for my 211)

Thx. Was the entire boat non-electrified or only the engine? The rest of my electronics work, just not the starter. Is there a cable directly from the battery to the starter?

My friend had a similar problem on his 2007 211. Most of the boat still had power but none to the starter. It ended up being the starter solenoid that's mounted on the starter the terminal post broke off. Hope this helps.

There is not a bypass for the neutral safety switch but you can jumper it out or tie the wires together very easily for testing. I think you can take one wire off and install them both under the same screw terminal tying them together. The switch doesn't cost much to replace and should be pretty easy after getting to it.
