Leaking water at the serpentine somewhere

Noticed a lot of water in the bilge, first thought was thru hull at the drive shaft but not seeing much leaking there. So hooked it up to the hose in the garage and noticed lot of water along the surpentine belt, thought it might be a bad clamp/hose connection, tightened all of them but still lots of water. Unfortunately with the belt spinning, having a hard time localizing the source. Wondering if anyones had a similar experience? Is there is a gasket on the circulation or raw pumps I should be checking? Or should I just go right to replacing the raw pumps? Any thoughts or pointers would be appreciated, hope everyone's having a better labor day.

What motor? If it is the 343 the water pump has a weep hole that will drip water to indicate the seal is going bad. The weep hole is on the bottom of the water pump for reference.

Good to know, pulled it open and the impeller was pretty bad, new one included O-rings, hope that fixes it

You are referring to the water pump that is mounted to the engine block correct?

Yeah, replaced the bad impeller and all the O-rings, but it's still leaking . Put it all back together, tried to better locate the source. I think it seems to be coming from that water pump, but at the little well/ drainage point... i assume it is supposed to be there, but how much should it drain? Is it serviceable? Does my little stream of water mean it is bad? Or does that indicate something else is wrong?

Sounds like the raw water pump bearing seals are leaking.

You have two pumps that suck water. The raw water pump that is separate from the engine block and the cooling water/ coolant circulation pumps that is mounted to the motor directly. Both are serviceable with the raw water pump the easier of the two. You should easily be able to discern between the two pumps and which one is leaking. If you can clarify if it is the raw water pump that is leaking that is an entirely different issue to address. Please take a photo of the pump you are referring to to get a better idea of what you have worked on so far.

I don't have a photo as the boat is in AZ and I'm in CA, but I'm pretty sure it is the raw water pump, it is just above and to the left of the alternator if that helps
