    ZR6. Tune

What is the typical tune up for a 2006 ZR6? Plugs, wires,... How do you test the coil packs?
    Thanks

Cap and rotor as well. If you have a bad coil not firing you can use a spark test light to see
If the coil is discharging or not.

No distributor (therefore no cap or rotor) on this motor - individual ignition coils.

Here is a manual for review. See page 3 for maintenance items.

Unless you are experiencing a misfire, your coil packs are probably fine. You would need software (installed on a laptop) to communicate with the engine's ECM to get any diagnostic codes. Short of that you could use an ohm meter to test the coil pack for continuity. You'll need the approximate ohm values for the coil packs to determine if they are within spec. Your dealer should be able to provide the ohm values.

Thanks. 200 or so hours on the plugs, wires are original with 480 hrs on them, so they need to be changed. It coughed last night so wires first given age. Would the diacom indicate specifically which coil pack is going if it comes to that?
